  First of all may I add that the picture of a house that comes up from the post code is not Appoline House. Google Maps has it slightly wrong. Appoline House is a very nice modern detached house/building at the start of Buxton Road. I have been using Appoline House for a number of years now. Before I was recommended to visit Appoline House's (Johnathon Briggs) I used to have to have a prescribed Valium tablet just to get me to the dentist, then even for a filling, I used to have to have an injection in the arm to knock me out, so to say I was petrified of dentists is in no way an understatement. However, from the relentless words of praise from a friend about Appoline House, and in particular Dentist JB, l bit the bullet and went to see him. What a WONDERFUL person. I have over the years gained so much trust in him due to his patients, understanding and manor. It was not long before I had committed to having a lot of essential work done in the build up to having some cosmetic work. And I had no worries, no Valium, no injections in the arm, and indeed spent many days in the chair for upto 3 hours, but many many 1 to 2 hour appts. Several years later, I have been with my girlfriend for a few years, who's teeth, although nice and straight, were not in the best condition. She was told by her own dentist that nothing could be done for her teeth except veneers or crowns that would run into thousands of pounds. As a Christmas (2010) present I paid for a consultancy for her with Johnathon Briggs. He couldn't believe what we told him, and immediately set about advising us of the latest technology in stain removal and other alternatives, with no mention of veneers only to say that Elaine does not need to have them at all unless money is no object. Well what can I say, we booked a two hour appointment with JB, and Oh My God, the man is a genius. Elaine's mannerisms have completely changed, she now properly smiles without putting her hand over her mouth, her face has lit up through openly smiling, even the way she talks has kind of changed because now she doesn't feel embarrassed to show her lovely teeth. Once the injections had worn off from her treatment and she properly looked in the mirror, she cried and I got the most wonderful hug. I CANNOT thank JB enough for changing our lives. Other staff at Appoline House. Always friendly, helpful, informative, very smart, and professional. Can I find fault with this Dental Practice ???? thinking hard here. I don't have another dentist to compare it to, but maybe cost, although I'm on Denplan now so that doesn't affect me. But in saying that, you get what you pay for these days, and IMO, Mr Briggs and his whole team are the best.

  I've never been a fan of the dentist but I must say that I have nothing but praise for this surgery; they are very understanding about my fears and put me at ease. The quality of their work is outstanding and everyone is very helpful beyond what I would expect. I truly feel cared for as an individual rather than just someone on their books.
